Is PPE Required on course / range days?

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is optional to wear during the classroom and/or range portion of the class depending on your preference, unless the local County and/or State requirements change. We do recommend to bring sanitizer and practice social distancing whenever possible.

Illness & Prevention - Covid 19 Consideration

In consideration of others, if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have tested positive with Covid-19 within the last 10 days or have travelled out of state within the last 14 days, please stay home and reschedule your class for a later date. Do not attend any training classes until the recommended time has passed and you are symptom-free. Please check current CDC guidelines for updated information regarding Covid-19. We want everyone to have fun and enjoy our training classes in a healthy and safe environment.

How old do you have to be to register for a course?

You must be AT LEAST 18 years of age on the day of the course, and you MUST provide either a valid state driver's license, I.D. card, or U.S. Passport on the day of the course.

Do I have to be a U.S. Citizen to take a course?

Yes. You must be a U.S. Citizen OR a permanent legal resident to enroll in our courses.

Do you offer firearm rentals for all courses?

No. We only offer firearm rentals for Pistol 1, Pistol 2, Shotgun and BSIS Exposed Firearm classes.

Can I use reloaded ammunition "ammo" when using my own firearm?

No. All ammo must be factory ammo.

How should I transport my firearm and magazines to class and/or to the firearm range?

Ensure that your firearm and required magazines are safely secured and unloaded while transporting them to your scheduled course and/or to the firearm range. Please call us with any special circumstances. ​

Is the range indoor or outdoor?

We use the Concord POA Range located at 5060 Avila Road, Concord, CA 94520, which is an outdoor range.

Is there a deadline to sign up for training classes?

There is no deadline to sign up for training classes.

What is the deadline to rent a firearm for a training course?

There is no deadline to rent a firearm for our Pistol 1, Pistol 2, Shotgun and BSIS Exposed Firearm classes.

Does Delta Tactical Training Group sell firearms and ammunition?

No. Delta Tactical Training Group only offers firearm rentals to be used solely for firearms classes that we offer that are under our instructor's supervision during the class.

What should students wear for training classes?

Dress appropriately with what the weather forecasts for the day of the class. However, we strongly recommend wearing sunscreen, long sleeve crew neck shirts and pants or jeans, a ball cap style hat, sunglasses and sturdy closed-toe shoes.

What type of ear protection is recommended to use while at the shooting range?

We recommend wearing noise-cancelling electronic hearing protection (ear muffs) with volume control to protect your hearing as it allows you to hear the instructor speaking while cancelling out loud noises. Delta Tactical Training Group offers electronic hearing protection for sale online and at its headquarters. ​

Will classes be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather conditions?

No, classes are typically held rain or shine. However, in extreme weather conditions, classes may be cancelled or postponed at our discretion. ​

What is our cancellation policy?

Delta Tactical Training Group reserves the right to cancel any class. Classes may be cancelled or postponed depending on Covid-19 mandates per Federal, State, or local County requirements. Or, if class participation does not meet our minimum attendance requirements you may be rescheduled for a later available class date. You will be notified by one of our representatives in the event a cancellation or postponement occurs. ​

What is our refund policy for courses?

We do not issue refunds unless we cancel a class you have signed up for. Extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. ​

Can I bring water and food to the class?

Yes. We recommend your bring your own water and snacks in a small cooler with ice to keep cold during class. An hour lunch break is provided between the classroom and the range session.

Is alcohol and smoking allowed while attending any training class?

Alcohol, smoking and drugs are prohibited on the premises during class. Anyone suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to remain on the premises.

Do we offer any discounts on training classes?

We occasionally offer packaged discounts and BOGO deals. If you would like to be notified in advance of special deals and discounts, sign up to be added to our mailing list through our website from the About page under Contact. A discount is available to veterans for any BSIS training class with proof of veteran status. Please contact us for your discount code. We currently offer discount packages when you order 2 or more classes at the same time on the website. The 15% discount is automatically calculated in shopping cart before checkout. You cannot combine discount codes or offers.

Who is eligible to sign up for any class offered through Delta Tactical Training Group?

You must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent legal U.S. resident who is at least 18 years of age to be eligible to participate in any class offered through Delta Tactical Training Group.

Do we offer any specialized training that is not currently offered through Delta Tactical Training Group's website?

We recommend that you contact us through our website from the About page under Contact to submit your inquiries. A representative will contact you.

What is our refund and exchange policy for products and apparel?

Due to Covid-19, all sales are final excluding Safe Life Defense tactical gear and products. Returns/exchanges for Safe Life products must meet their requirements; Safe Life products must be returned within 30 days and must be new and in the same packaging as originally provided. Please contact us for additional information about their return/exchange policies. For Safe Life Defense warranty claims, please submit pictures to Orders@safelifedefense.com so they can assist you further. ​

Can I get replacement documents?

Can I skip the Pistol 1 class and take Pistol 2?

You cannot take our Pistol 2 class unless you’ve taken and successfully passed our Pistol 1 course. The only exception is if you have one of OUR instructors vouch for you.
